Job Description

Summary

This position supports community-based clinical research efforts focused on engaging underserved populations through direct participant interaction and home visits. The role is highly independent and combines fieldwork, regulatory coordination, and data management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical research, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build trust with diverse communities. This position plays a key role in supporting study execution, including participant consent, data collection, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates who are culturally aligned with the populations served and comfortable working in non-traditional settings will be most successful.

This is a part-time position without benefits. Working hours are flexible within standard business hours, based on operational needs and participant scheduling.

Job Duties

  • Conduct in-home visits with study participants and support community-based research activities
  • Obtain informed consent and assist with drafting consent forms and study protocols
  • Set up, manage, and maintain REDCap databases for study data collection
  • Perform data entry, data quality checks, and basic data analysis/reporting
  • Ensure adherence to clinical research regulatory requirements (IRB, human subjects protection)
  • Work independently to manage multiple study-related responsibilities and timelines
  • Transport study equipment and materials to participant homes as needed
  • Collaborate with research team members while maintaining accountability for assigned tasks
  • Assist with study coordination, participant tracking, and documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.
