Job Description:
Responsible for keeping line of sight into any data risk and related issues impacting the FLU/CF, in accordance with other data related policies (e.g. Global Records Management, Business Continuity, Spreadsheet, etc.). Identifies gaps in adherence and immediately escalates. Works with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps. Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls. Partners with Technology to create an infrastructure and processes that enable adherence to the other data related policies and other regulatory mandates; this includes system design and architecture, data governance, data integrity, and overall management of data throughout the lifecycle. Works with other groups as needed, including Compliance, Audit, Operational Risk, and Technology to ensure effective controls over data for respective Domain. May manage others.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing assessments of current capabilities and processes to inform development of strategic recommendations
  • Integrating recommendations into comprehensive roadmap and implementation plan(s)
  • Driving coordination across EDSGO organization to identify and facilitate strategic integration points
  • Partnering with LOB stakeholders to gather buy-in to strategic recommendations and drive implementation
  • Facilitating engagement with all lines of defense (1st, 2nd, 3rd) to proactively manage and mitigate risks across the portfolio
  • Defining, operationalizing and reporting key risk and performance indicators (KRI/KPIs) to proactively identify issues and monitor progress against strategic priorities
  • Designing and operationalizing management reporting tools / analytics to help drive the business
  • Synthesizing and preparing strategic updates to key Senior Executive Leadership, Risk Committees, and external Regulators
  • Designing and implementing governance processes and providing business requirements for technology business process improvements

Skills:

  • Ability to drive strategic programs from end-to-end (current state assessment, recommendations, roadmap, implementation, monitoring) with impact to multiple lines of business
  • Strong influencing, stakeholder management and change adoptions skills with experience with various levels within an organization and across multiple global regions
  • Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) and navigate at all levels in the organization with the detail appropriate to the forum and audience
  • Advanced powerpoint and excel skills
  • Highly organized with critical thinking and analytical abilities at both the strategic and tactical levels
  • Excellent facilitation/presentation skills, experience with large groups and senior leadership
  • Ability to connect business outcomes with operational and technological considerations
  • Strong detail orientation and a willingness to synthesize diverse ideas into tangible action plans
  • Ability to understand, interpret and track meaningful metrics
  • Strong sense of urgency with demonstrated history of abilility to execute well

Required Skills:

  • Experience across multiple lines of business in financial services
  • Typically has 5+ years of program strategy, project management and/or regulatory program experience

  • Knowledge of Global Banking/Global Markets products and processes
  • Six sigma certification
  • Agile experience
  • Consulting experience
  • Previous data management/technology development experience
