What you will do
When you join EY\'s Federal Tax Advisory team, you’ll deliver innovative tax strategies for diverse clients, navigating the complexities of post-tax reform. As an FTA Staff 2, you\'ll tackle intricate tax issues, focusing on cash tax savings and refund opportunities in areas like R&D credits, accounting methods, capitalization and cost recovery, transaction costs, inventory and others. Your key responsibilities
Collaborate with a diverse team to manage client projects, analyze data, and interpret relevant laws and regulations.
Engage directly with clients, supporting project management and delivering in-depth analyses.
Contribute to client engagements, ensuring high-quality tax research, related analyses and timely deliverables.
Foster client relationships, guide team development, and stay informed on industry trends to apply to client scenarios.
Job requirements and preferences
Required qualifications
Have or be working toward a JD and/or LLM in Taxation.
Membership or anticipated membership in a US state bar.
A strong academic record, including, without limitation, course work that EY deems relevant to this position.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Preferred qualifications
Excellent communication skills, proficiency in basic MS Office tools, and strong writing skills, with business fluency in the English language.
Willing and able to learn and work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective organization and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
