Our globally connected services support the entire transaction lifecycle, from strategy to disposal, providing robust tax advice crucial for strategic business decisions in a dynamic market, and empowering clients to navigate complex transactions and optimize their corporate structures.
What you will do
As part of the International Tax and Transactions Services (ITTS) – Private Company team, you’ll focus on private companies, family office, and high net worth individuals. Our clients will look to your knowledge across a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising outcomes to some of the most complex challenges around. You’ll work with some of the world’s most successful private clients and businesses, and in return you can expect an incredible range of projects and responsibilities that will support your career growth.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Advising family offices, privately held companies, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals with respect to international tax considerations (and oftentimes, adjacent domestic tax issues).
- Constantly developing your own knowledge and maintaining your status as a trusted business advisor by monitoring emerging trends, technologies and practices.
- Supporting regional teams in delivering US international tax reporting advice as well as offering substantive review of international tax reporting matters, including Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, and 1116.
- Building long-lasting relationships with clients and developing your understanding of their unique requirements and needs.
- Working within a dedicated client service team, soliciting performance feedback and guaranteeing that you always have the skills, tools and opportunities needed to grow.
Job requirements and preferences
- Required qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline, and either an LL.M. in Taxation, JD, or Master of Taxation.
- Membership or anticipated membership in a US state bar; or a demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam.
- A strong academic record, including, without limitation, course work that EY deems relevant to this position.
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in basic MS Office tools, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, and strong writing skills, with business fluency in the English language.
- Willing and able to learn and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective organization and time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
- Preferred Qualifications
- For CPAs, at least two years of Big 4 or equivalent experience.

The salary range for this job, in the US, is $110,000 - $145,000. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
